To modifiers: what has been added to the 10.0.7 MAResourcesMapping.plist since 10.0.6

In AttributedStringStyles, these are new:

<key>MainStage_NonFocusTabSelected</key>
<dict>
<key>NSColor</key>
<string>sRGBColor:{204, 204, 204, 100}</string>
<key>NSFont</key>
<string>NSFont:{Helvetica Neue UI Medium,13}</string>
</dict>

In the following, only the font has changed from “GBMetro16Mono” to “Forgotten Futurist Bold”
<key>Transport_KeyMode</key>
<dict>
<key>NSColor</key>
<string>sRGBColor:{168,212,255,80}</string>
<key>NSFont</key>
<string>NSFont:{Forgotten Futurist Bold,16}</string>
</dict>
<key>Transport_KeyMode_record</key>
<dict>
<key>NSColor</key>
<string>sRGBColor:{255,138,138,80}</string>
<key>NSFont</key>

<string>NSFont:{Forgotten Futurist Bold,16}</string>

These three have also been added to Attributed…:

Transport_KeyRoman_solo

To be more precise:

<key>NSColor</key>
<string>sRGBColor:{255,223,128,80}</string>
<key>NSFont</key>

<string>CompositeImage:bcd_button_mainstage</string>
<key>attributedStringStyles</key>
<string>AssetRef:AttributedStringStyles.BCDLabelNormal</string>

<key>TabNonFocus_Selected_Gradient2</key>
<string>sRGBColor:{97, 97, 97, 100}</string>

Mixer > MAKit:
They have done things with “channelStripFader”, copy the strings from “channelStripFader” to “channelStripFaderScale” from 10.0.7 to your theme:

<key>channelStripFader</key>
<dict>
<key>#SELF</key>
<string>CompositeImage:mixer_fader</string>
<key>barImageInset</key>
<string>NSPoint:{0,21}</string>
<key>knobRectOffset</key>
<string>NSPoint:{0,2}</string>
<key>tickMarksImage</key>
<string>CompositeImage:mixer_fader_tickmarks</string>
<key>trackImageOffset</key>
<string>NSPoint:{0,2}</string>
</dict>
<key>channelStripFaderHighlighted</key>
<dict>
<key>#SELF</key>
<string>CompositeImage:mixer_fader_sel</string>
<key>barImageInset</key>
<string>NSPoint:{0, 21}</string>
<key>knobRectOffset</key>
<string>NSPoint:{0,2}</string>
<key>tickMarksImage</key>
<string>CompositeImage:mixer_fader_tickmarks_sel</string>
<key>trackImageOffset</key>
<string>NSPoint:{0,2}</string>
</dict>
<key>channelStripFaderMIDI</key>
<dict>
<key>#SELF</key>
<string>CompositeImage:mixer_fader</string>
<key>barImageInset</key>
<string>NSPoint:{0,21}</string>
<key>knobRectOffset</key>
<string>NSPoint:{0,2}</string>
<key>tickMarksImage</key>
<string>CompositeImage:mixer_midi_fader_tickmarks</string>
<key>trackImageOffset</key>
<string>NSPoint:{0,2}</string>
</dict>
<key>channelStripFaderMIDIHighlighted</key>
<dict>
<key>#SELF</key>
<string>CompositeImage:mixer_fader_sel</string>
<key>barImageInset</key>
<string>NSPoint:{0, 21}</string>
<key>knobRectOffset</key>
<string>NSPoint:{0,2}</string>
<key>tickMarksImage</key>
<string>CompositeImage:mixer_midi_fader_tickmarks_sel</string>
<key>trackImageOffset</key>
<string>NSPoint:{0,2}</string>
</dict>
<key>channelStripFaderScale</key>
<string>CompositeImage:mixer_fader_scale</string>

This should keep your theme updated. I think. Please correct me if I’m wrong or missing something.

MAKE A BACK_UP OF YOUR THEME BEFORE DOING ANYTHING.

  1. Hey there,
    I’m a little confused as to updating to 10.0.7. So from your directions, what I’m getting is to:

    1) Make a backup of my modded resources file.
    2) Take my modded tiff images and the modded .plist file(from old) and put it in the NEW 10.0.7 resources file?
    OR
    3) Copy the newly added strings from 10.0.7 into my old .plist, then update to 10.0.7, then add my update old .plist and replace it with the 10.0.7?

    I’m confused because if I just take my old .plist file and use it to replace the new one, won’t all of the new strings added to 10.0.7 be gone? It would just be the same as before, wouldn’t it? Maybe I’m overlooking how these things work but please correct me if I’m wrong. Thank you!

  2. I just realized that I worded all of that like a monkey. My apologies. What I meant was:

    Do I copy the new strings into my old .plist, then update my old logic to 10.0.7, remove the 10.0.7 .plist and switch it with my updated old one and then throw in my old resources folder with the modded tiffs? Hopefully that reads better.

    • I recommend this:
      1) Make a copy of the modded Resources folder that I am using.
      2) Replace the Resources folder with the Apple default one.
      3) Update Logic.
      4) Make a back-up of the updated Logic app (at least of the new default Resources folder).
      5) Drag the modded files of your chosen theme to the Resources folder.

      This is the safest way. Steps 1&2 might not be needed, if you decide to let Logic update just overwrite the theme you are using and then download a 10.0.7 compatible theme.

      • …And that was not exactly what you were asking, sorry (I only now noticed in which thread you wrote your post)…

        So the correct answer is: make a safe copy of your current Resources folder and plist (i’ll call this A); update; back-up the updated Logic app, including its default plist (I’ll call this B); copy the new strings from the updated plist B to your chosen theme’s plist A; replace B with A.

  3. Awesome! Yeah I finally figured it out late into the nite, but thank you for your input! You were spot on good sir.
    Cheers!
